FLUMEQ 20
Oral Liquid
Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Flumequine : 200 mg
Properties & Indications:
- Flumeq 20 contains flumequine; a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which has a bactericidal activity against wide range of gram negative bacteria and also against Staphylococcus.
- Following oral administration, Flumeq 20 is readily absorbed through the intestines, and rapidly metabolised and distributed in most animal species.
- Flumeq 20 is used for treatment of GIT, urogenital and respiratory infections caused by flumequine sensitive micro-organisms such as; E.coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Vibrio, Campylobacter, Klebsiella, Bordetella, Proteus, Haemophilus, Shigella and also Staphylococcus aureus in poultry, calves, lambs, kids, foals, rabbits, dogs and cats.
Dosage:
- Poultry and rabbits: 100 ml / 200 liter of drinking water for 3 – 5 days.
- Calves, lambs, kids, foals, dogs and cats: 0.6 ml / 10 kg b.wt in drinking water or milk/milk replacer twice a day for 3-5 days.
- *Medicated drinking water or milk/milk replacer should be used within 24 hours.
Contraindications:
Do not use simultaneously with trimethoprim, sulphonamides or copper sulphate.
Withdrawal Period: 5 days.
Storage:
Store in dark place at temperature below 30°C.
