Composition:
Each 1 Liter contains:
Menthol: 16 gm.
Camphor: 6 gm.
Camphor oil (white): 10 ml.
Properties and Indications:
- LINIMENT- VET is used as antipruritic to reduce itching.
- LINIMENT-VET is used as topical analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains such as muscle cramps, sprains, headaches and similar conditions.
- LINIMENT- VET Apply immediately in cold compress to reduce swelling of bruises and sprains. Camphor has a strong, penetrating, fragrant odor, and is slightly cold to the touch; locally it is an irritant, numbs the peripheral sensory nerves, and is slightly antiseptic; it is not readily absorbed by the mucous membrane, but is easily absorbed by the subcutaneous tissue.
- LINIMENT- VET Warms and cools the body where necessary. Helpful with stiff muscles. It is cooling on the skin and, therefore, reduces inflammatory conditions. In addition,
LINIMENT- VET strengthens and stimulates the body and is a general tonic - helpful to the nervous system.
Application:
- Lameness, sprains, swellings etc…: Foment the affected area with hot water,then rub well with the LINIMENT- VET 2-3 times daily.
- Rheumatism and colds: Foment the affected area (chest, neck, shoulder, back, etc…) with hot water, then rub well with the "spirit lotion"; then cover, at night, with heavy blanket and protect the animal from drafts.
*Preparation of the spirit lotion: Mix (60 ml LINIMENT- VET + 60 ml water+ 300 ml methylated spirit).
- Setting up and leg brace in equines for racing: mix LINIMENT- VET, water, and vinegar (1:10:4 parts) respectively, then rub the legs thoroughly and bandage untightly.
- For cooling body wash in equines: Mix LINIMENT- VET water, and vinegar ( 1:6:2 parts) respectively, to be used as a therapeutic body wash when refreshing and coolants is indicated for tired, over heated horses.
Precautions:
*Don’t apply to irritated or broken skin.
*Avoid contact with eyes.

Storage:
Store in dark and dry place at room temperature below 30 ºC.
