Composition:

Each 1ml contains:

Oxfendazole: 22.65 mg

• Properties and indications:
• OXMAX is a fast and effective broad spectrum anthelmintic drench of the benzimidazoles for the control of mature and immature forms of gastro-intestinal roundworms, lungworms and tapeworms in camels, cattle, sheep, goats, horses and dogs.
• OXMAX is also ovicidal against nematode eggs.
• In camels, cattle, sheep and goats it is active against benzimidazole susceptible strains of the following species:

Roundworms:

Ostertagia spp., Haemonchus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Nematodirus spp., Cooperia spp., Capillaria spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Chabertia spp., Bunostomum spp., Strongyloides spp. and Trichuris spp.

Lungworms:

Dictyocaulus spp.

Tapeworms:

Moniezia spp.

In horses, it is effective for the control of adult and immature forms of Stomach Hair Worm (Trichostrongylus axei). Ascarids (Parascaris equorum), Oxyuris equi, small and large strongyles, and Habronema microstoma . A reduction in the prevalence of associated colic and arterial lesions could be expected.

In dogs, for the treatment of ascaridosis (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonine), hookworms (Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense), trichurosis (Trichuris vulpis), and taeniasis (Taenia hydatigena , Dipylidium caninum).

Dosage and administration:

For oral administration only.

Assess bodyweight as accurately as possible before calculating the dosage.

Shake well before use.

Camels and Cattle: 

4.5 mg oxfendazole/kg b.wt (5 ml/25 kg b.wt).

Camels and cattle above 300 kg should be given a further 5 ml for each additional 25 kg b.wt.

Sheep and goats

: 5 mg oxfendazole/kg b.wt (1 ml/4.5 kg b.wt).

Sheep and goats above 27 kg should be given a further 1 ml for each additional 4.5 kg b.wt.

Horses: 10 mg oxfendazole/kg b.wt (2 ml/4.5 kg b.wt).

Dogs: 11.3 mg/kg b.wt/day for 3 consecutive days (0.5 ml/kg b.wt/day for 3 consecutive days. Mix the suspension with feed or administer directly into the mouth.

Withdrawal periods:

Meat: 15 days from the last treatment.

Milk: 7 days from the last treatment.

Storage: store in dark and dry place at temperature below 30 °C. Do not freeze.
