Composition:
Each 1 ml contains: Phoxim : 500 mg
Properties & Indications:
CHEMOPHOX 50% EC is an organophosphorous ectoparasiticde with high acaricidal efficacy and low toxicity to warm blooded animals.
CHEMOPHOX 50% EC is used for the treatment of infestations of poultry red mites (Dermanyssus gallinae) sensitive to organophosphates, in the rearing buildings and in the presence of the birds.
CHEMOPHOX 50% EC is also used for the treatment of parasitic infestations in cattle, camels, sheep, goats, horses, rabbits and dogs.
Withdrawal Period:
- For meat and offal consumption: 28 days from the last use.
- Eggs: 12 hours from the last treatment. Discard eggs laid on the same day of the treatment.
- For milk consumption: Not permitted in animals producing milk for human consumption.
Antidote:
- Atropine sulphate. (Repeat after 15-30 minutes if necessary)
First Aid:
- Skin contact: remove clothing and wash affected area with soap and water.
- Eye contact: flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
- Inhalation: move to fresh air, keep rest and warm, if not breathing give artificial respiration, and call medical attention.
- Ingestion: do not induce vomiting except under doctor attention, give patient water for mouth -wash then remove him to hospital with ectoparasiticide bottle.
Precautions:
- Read the label before use and always follow its instructions strictly.
- Avoid contaminating pools and water sources.
- Avoid use on sick, tired and small animals
- Before use, wear protective clothing, goggles and face shield.
- Do not spray in windy weather and against the wind.
- Do not smoke, drink or eat during use.
- Always dispose empty containers safely, and do not use it for other purposes.
- CHEMOPHOX 50% EC is highly toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates,
- CHEMOPHOX 50% EC is toxic to bees and birds.
Storage:
- Store ectoparasiticide in its original containers tightly closed.
- Keep away from children, food and drinks.
- Store in dry, well ventilated place at temperature below 30 ْC and away from direct sunlight.
