Properties and indications:

FENBEN 10% is a safe broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic for the treatment of camels, cattle, sheep, goats, horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, pigeons, chickens and turkeys infected with immature and mature stages of gastro-intestinal and respiratory tract nematodes and cestodes:

Camels, cattle, sheep and goats:

• Gastro-intestinal roundworms (Ostertagiaspp., Cooperia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Haemonchus spp., Bunostomum spp., Strongyloides spp., Trichuris spp., Capillaria spp., and Chabertia spp)
• Cestodes: Moniezia spp.
• Lungworms: Dictyocaulus viviparous, Dictyocaulus filaria.

Horses and other equines:

Large strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, Strongylus edentatus, Strongylus equinus, Triodonto­phorus spp.). Small strongyles (Cyathostomins/Trichonema spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicostephanus spp.). Ascarids (Parascaris equorum), Oxyuris spp. and Strongyloides spp.

Dogs and cats:

Ascarid spp (Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati and Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense), Trichuris spp, Uncinaria spp and Taenia spp. Dogs infected with lungworm Oslerus (Filaroides) osleri, or protozoa Giardia spp., and cats infected with lungworm Aelurostrongylus abstrusus.

Also for the treatment of pregnant dogs to reduce prenatal infections of Toxocara canis and the transfer of T. canis and Ancylostoma caninum to their pups via the milk.

Chickens and turkeys:

Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum.

FENBEN 10% is effective against common internal parasites of rabbits, and pigeons susceptible to fenbendazole including Encephalitozoon cuniculi.

FENBEN 10% also has an ovicidal effect on nematode eggs.

Dosage and administration:

Shake container well before use. Protect from freezing.

For oral administration only.

To ensure administration of the correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.

No dietary control is required before or after treatment.

Withdrawal periods:

Meat: 8 days.

Milk: 4 days.

Eggs: Zero days.

Storage: Store at temperature below 30 °C. Protect from light.
