Composition:

 Each 1 gm contains:

              Colistin Sulphate           :  800 000 I.U.

Properties & Indication:

• Coliphate contains colistin which is a polymyxin antibiotic highly effective against gram negative bacteria.
• Coliphate has a strong local action in G.I.T. due to its poor absorption after oral administration.
• Coliphate is used for treatment of gastrointestinal tract infections in poultry, calves, lambs and kids caused by gram negative bacteria like; E.coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Shigella, Pseudomonas and Salmonella.
• Coliphate has a protective effect against the adverse effects of endotoxins as colistin has a high activity to bind and neutralize the endotoxins produced by toxigenic strains of E.coli and Salmonella spp.

Dosage:

Poultry: 125 gm / 100 liters of drinking water for 5 days.

Calves, lambs, kids: 3 gm/20 kg b.wt. twice daily for 5 days with drinking water or milk replacer .

Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.

Withdrawal Period:

Meat : 2 days 
Eggs : Zero days 

Storage:

Store in a dark and dry place at temperature below 30°C.
